Wax Girls Head X Kiosk
9cm x 10cm x 11.5cm Wax, Scent, Majjiq Powers Fátima, PORTUGAL
In Fátima, a major Catholic shrine, one of the things you can do to save/fix yourself is to toss a wax depiction of your problem into a gigantic oven and say a prayer to the Catholic God. With the toss of a head I envision headache, lice, stupidity and a overuse of profanities to maybe resolve resolutely within one to two hours after “heading” into the fire. Not only are there heads to choose from, but backs, intestines, legs, feet, books, cars, motorcycles etc. Pretty sure you can get your more fragile “secrete” body parts if you happen to ask the right questions. Which we didn’t. Made in the old days by cerieiros, the wax workshops that now are becoming so rare, they are mostly produced in the Mira d' Aire area, not far from Fátima. Remember the wax lips we used to chew on, they had the same flavor as Teaberry gum. Not the same thing. A friend said this head looks like Marco but it is a woman! I think it is the nose!
